Follow these instructions to upgrade with new drivers on our web site.

  1. Download the latest drivers from this web site, if you haven't done so already.

  2. Extract the downloaded drivers.

  3. Install the drivers.

 

Extracting the drivers

When you have downloaded the latest drivers from the web site, follow these steps to extract the drivers:

  1. Run the downloaded .exe file. You can do this by double-clicking the file, or by clicking Start, clicking to Run, then browsing to the file.

  2. When prompted to extract the driver files on your hard disk, click Unzip to extract the driver files.

  3. When all files have been extracted, click Close to exit the Winzip dialog box.

You are now ready to install the drivers.

 

Installing the drivers

Upgrading the drivers involves restarting your computer, so make sure you have saved all your open documents before upgrading.

Apocalypse 5D uses two sets of drivers: the 3D Apocalypse drivers and the 2D GrafixStar-Apocalypse drivers. Click the drivers you want to upgrade.

 

Installing the 3D Apocalypse drivers

  1. Run the file setup.exe in the apoc5d folder, and follow the on-screen instructions for installing the drivers.

  2. When the drivers have been upgraded, a message is displayed asking whether you want to restart Windows. Click Yes.


    When Windows has restarted, Apocalypse 5D is ready to use.

 

Installing the 2D GrafixStar-Apocalypse drivers

Software installation differs depending on whether you are upgrading drivers in Windows 95, or Windows 98. Click the operating system you are using.

Windows 95

If you know which build of Windows 95 you are running, continue for build 4.00.950 or 4.00.950a or 4.00.950b (also known as OSR2).

Otherwise follow these instructions:

  1. Click the Start button, point to Settings and click Control Panel.

  2. Double-click the System icon to open the System Properties Window.

  3. Click the General tab. The build number is located in the System section, under the ‘Microsoft Windows 95’ line.

  4. Continue for build 4.00.950 or 4.00.950a, or 4.00.950b (also known as OSR2).
